Well finally some good news today, Rolls-Royce has won a $2.7bn (£1.9bn) order to manufacture and service Boeing 787 Dreamliner Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines for the airline, Norwegian.
The contract is some long overdue news for Rolls-Royce, which has seen its share price fall by over 33 % during the last 12 months.
All this happened during a major shake-up under new chief executive Warren East. He moved out Tony Wood, head of aerospace, and showed Lawrie Haynes, who runs the RR land and sea division, the exit .. The change in structure is part of a management plan to save up to £200m a year from 2017, at the company and change the outmoded vertical structure of Rolls-Royce, in an attempt to make it more transparent.
