A shirtless passenger allegedly urinated on another traveller, sparking a massive brawl on board an Air Mediterranee flight from Algiers to Paris, according to French media reports.
The incident was said to have unfolded halfway through the 90-minute journey earlier this week on Monday afternoon when the passenger was prevented from smoking or drinking alcohol aboard Flight ML2673.
The man was said to have been overpowered and pinned down by flight crew after allegedly urinating on a fellow passenger which caused a fight involving several people.
The plane, carrying 166 passengers, was then diverted to Lyon's international airport, where the man was escorted off the aircraft by police.
A second man who was involved in the fight was also removed from the plane.
The plane eventually took off again and passengers arrived at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport three hours behind schedule.
Air Mediterranee have not commented on the incident.
