Aviation expert Julian Bray has said Boris Johnson is "right for all the wrong reasons" to dismiss the expansion of Heathrow Airport.
The issue of expanding airports has long plagued the House of Commons, with a number of people pushing for Heathrow - the UK's busiest airport - to be expanded to allow for increased capacity and others pushing for Gatwick Airport to receive this instead.
The foreign secretary has always opposed this, and today branded theHeathrow project as a "fantasy" destined for the "dustbin". Bray explained why he's right - in his view - and why Gatwick might be the better option.
"He's right for all the wrong reasons," he told Talk Radios' Julia Hartley-Brewer. "You don't need another runway at Heathrow, simply clear out cargo sheds and you'll have the capacity for all your increased passenger services.
"With Gatwick, you'll basically lose one village, which is a better idea because then you've got direct routes out of Gatwick and you can get your cargo and freight away.
"My idea is to take the cargo out of Heathrow and distribute it around."
